New work detailing immune system dynamics after liver transplantation, the standard for patients with end-stage liver disease, could lead to improved and more precise clinical management strategies for individual patients.Researchers at Xiamen University performed a minimally invasive and rapid analysis of peripheral blood mononuclear cells by scRNA-seq, bulk mRNA-seq, a 42-parameter #CyTOF assay, and flow cytometry. Their results revealed a four-phase response during recovery, characterized cell heterogeneity between patients with different clinical outcomes, and validated the presence and clinical relevance of newly discovered immune cell subsets.Wang et al. 2024: https://lnkd.in/g-_P96hZ#singlecell #Tcells #NKcells

Nothing suggests new beginnings like springtime… In collaboration with the LUMC Flow cytometry Core Facility, we continued our Springtime #SpatialBiology Series with a session on #dataanalysis. Yesterday, the session provided an overview of image data analysis, how to get started and what to consider for your particular project. Field Application Scientist Hester Koppejan advised on project ideas, workflows, protocols and analysis pipelines. Thank you to Leiden University Medical Center for their support! If you are interested in these series or have your own questions, we are happy to support you!
