Who makes L&H boats? ›

L&H Boats, Inc. began in 1992 with the partnership of John Meyer and Glenn Muller. John grew up in New Jersey and as an avid fisherman, he fished on many boats.

When we started testing G/flex Epoxy as a solution to leaky seams and rivets in aluminum boats, we put out a company-wide call for test boats.

Fiberglass boats are easier to clean up and maintain compared to other vessels made from different materials. With proper handling, a regular fiberglass boat can last for 10 to 25 years. What happens to old fiberglass boats? ›

The most common methods of fiberglass boat disposal include recycling, landfilling, burning (on land or in water), abandonment, and sinking. Landfilling is often a safe and viable option for fiberglass boats that have been deemed unsuitable for recycling.

If the old gelcoat is faded but still fine, apply the new coat directly on top. The old gelcoat will act as a perfect substrate and allow the new coat to harden.

For fiberglass, metal, and painted surfaces – great for hand or buffer application. We recommend using Premium Marine Polish with PTEF (part# 85716) as the perfect follow-up to maintain the restored finish. This product is a great go-to if you have stains, heavy oxidation, and scratches.

The use of marine grade formulas such as Crush Liquid Compound or Riptide Liquid Compound will quickly and effectively remove oxidation from the surface exposing fresh gel coat and fiberglass.
